Ohio Benefit Bank Site

Starting Point Outreach Center is staffed by volunteers who have been trained as Ohio Benefit Bank (OBB) counselors.  At Starting Point you can receive counselor assistance to check eligibility for benefits and prepare applications.

Trained counselors are available to help Ohio families find out what state and federal benefits they may be eligible for.  These volunteers will help you fill out the necessary applications -- in one location -- making access to these valuable benefits easier and maximizing the benefits available to you.

How We Work

We believe that our work is best accomplished through relationships -- with our clients, our volunteers, our staff, our partners, service providers, churches and organizations, and with Jesus Christ.

We are constantly working to develop relationships with those we feel can best help bring about meaningful and lasting solutions to the many challenges affecting the people and families of our communities.

We begin by getting to know our clients and their needs.  It's important to get the big picture.  We don't want to put on band-aids that just temporarily or partially alleviate the problems.  Instead, we work to find solutions that result in a total and lasting resolution.  Whatever the difficulty or situation may be we will do our best to help find the needed answers, referrals and solutions.

And in all we do, we are guided by the Holy Scriptures and by the shining example of Jesus Christ.
